Who can ignore the facts, that we have established ourselves as a great nation in the world, that we have devised our own nuclear weapons, that we have successfully sent our satellite into space, that our GNP ranks NO. 7 in the world, that the 29th Olympic games will be held in 20xx? It is true that we have experienced plunders by other nations, we have experienced wars. But based on such ruins, there still stand our nation China, unyielding and unconquerable.
An American tourist said:“ China has a long history of 5,000 years, but the US just has a history of 200 years. 5,000 years ago, China took the first lead in the world, but now it is the US that is leading. ”My heart was deeply touched by these words. Yes it is true that we are still a developing nation, but it does not mean we can despise ourselves. We have such a long standing history, we have such abundant resources, we have such intelligent and diligent people, we have enough to be proud of. I think we have enough reasons to say proudly: we are sure to take the first lead in the world in the future again, for the problem is big, but our ambition is even bigger; our challenge is great, but our will is even greater.
About personality, especially the youth, I think it is not a time of life, it is a state of mind. It is not a matter of rosy cheeks, red lips and supple knee, it is a matter of will, a quality of imagination, a vigor of emotions. Youth means a temperamental predominance of the courage. At the same time, I remember an old Chinese proverb: one minute does farm work, one minute harvest. I think we should make good use of everyday, so that we can achieve great success and our country will gain the prosperity.

我是XX小学的XXX。今天我很荣幸坐在这发言，感谢领导给我这个机会。其实，我只是一名普普通通的小学英语教师。在十年嗑嗑绊绊的小学英语教学中，我不断学习探究，逐渐积累了一些对小学英语教学的个人经验。今天有机会和大家一起探讨，我感到很高兴，如果说的不当之处，还请各位多多包涵。
在这次全市小学英语优质课比赛中，共有14节词汇课。14位教师每一位都能认真钻研教材，抓住重难点教学，努力了解学生，完成任务教学。各位老师各尽所能，各展其才，给我们带来14节优秀的课。下面，我就从三个方面对这些课做一下小小的点评：
一、对词汇课的认识
词汇课听起来好象是单纯教几个单词，但在语言教学中我们应把握这样一个原则：词不离句，句不离境。这两句话说的什么意思？就是说在教学中教单词的同时，离不开句子的教学，教语句的同时不能脱离环境的创设。在这次比赛中，我们7号老师和9号老师就做的相当不错。7号老师教授的是四种水果：pear，orange，watermelon和peach。她利用猴子了一个cai课件创设情景，在教单词的同时，展示两个动物朋友喜不喜欢，从而引出句子：do you like……？yes，i do。/no，i don’t，同时让学生去扮演角色。角色扮演完后，自然过渡到调查周围同学。这样的安排给人一种水到渠成的感觉。9号老师教的是四个形容词：big，small，long和short。她带领我们进入了动物园：看见大象学生就扮演：hi，i’m elephant。 i’m big。看见猴子学生就扮演：hello，i’m monkey。 i’m small。看见蛇学生就扮演：hello，i’m snake。 i’m long。看见小白兔学生就扮演：hi，i’m rabbit。 i have a short tail…学生兴趣高，也非常积极主动去运用英语交际。
二、对词汇课课堂结构的认识
一节好的课，首先要教学思路清晰，目的明确，重难点突出。我们小学英语教学过程大致可分为以下几块：
1、warm—up热身让学生通过游戏、chant、歌曲等进行一个暖身，调动学生的学习兴趣。
2、preview/revision预习或复习可对过去的相关知识进行一下回顾展示
3、presentation and practice主要是呈现新知，教授新知，并能利用各种教学手段和教学方法对所学知识进行巩固操练。在这14位参赛教师中，1号，4号，6号，8号，9号，10号，11号，13号等老师，她们运用了competation 、chant 、tpr 、look and match、
listen and point、 listen and draw 、guessing game和task—based等教学方法，采取了师生操练、小组操练、生生操练等多种形式，给人一种多姿多彩的感觉。特别提出的是6号和10号老师，她们可能不是英语专业毕业的老师，但她们能充分利用空中资源，和学生一起学习，一起做游戏，共同操练，这很值得让我们去借鉴。
4、consolidation and extension就是对我们所学的知识做一个总结和拓展。
这几部教学环节相辅相成，互相联系。教学时我们可以用简单的游戏、歌曲甚至是短短的几句课堂用语就能将它们自然衔接，慢慢过渡，但有很多老师常常忽视这些，使的下一个环节出现的有点突然。比赛中我认为做的比较好的有X号等老师。
三、关于课堂教学细节的处理
优秀的课堂之所以优秀，除了教学结构外，还有细节的独特处理，就如人一样，七分长相三分打扮。如1号、2号、10号老师的cai课件，4号和9号老师独特新颖的.词卡，4号和13号老师漂亮的板书设计，11号和12号老师多样的评价语，13号和14号老师完整的评价体系（形成性评价与终结性评价相结合），5号和12号老师好听的语音语调，特别是12号老师夸张的语音语调和态势语，这些都留给了我们每一个在场的老师深刻的印象。
总的说来，各位老师都能较好的完成教学任务，但是也存在不少问题，需要去改善：
1、加强自身学习，少犯知识性错误。尽量运用简短的英语，让学生听懂指令。
2、缺少对语言情境的创设，各个知识点之间出现一定的块面，如果能够一条线索贯穿起来就更加好了。
3、对学生的小组活动需加强指导，培养学生用英语交流的习惯。
4、要探究对课堂知识的拓展。
5、应注重细节的处理，如板书设计、学生座位的安排、评价语的多样化等。
今天，在王老师的组织安排下，我们聚在一起共同学习。感谢各位领导对我们工作的支持与理解，也感谢王老师为我们全市老师们和学生们在不到一年的时间里提供了多次展示自我的舞台。我相信，在王老师的领导下，我们仙桃市小学英语会有更大的进步。谢谢！

I love my parents also; I want them to live a happy life as well.
I want to travel this great country of ours. I want to see the beauty of our country. I want to see the miracles that made this country great! I want to go from the east to west, from the north all the way down to the south! I have a dream, that one day I can travel and see my country with my family and friends! If that is not possible, seeing my country on my own is good enough also.
If I can fulfill all three of my dreams in life, then God can take me away. I would be happy, and l would have lived a full and prosperous life.

对于作业，我都是很及时地上交，回到家后只有朗读课文就行了。有时看到课代表迟迟没有发本子时或组织同学听写单词时，总会一个劲儿地催他。
如果我当上了英语课代表，一定会仔细检查同学上交作业中的错误，让他们及时改正。也会把他们不准确的发音，尽我所能地纠正。同学遇到不理解的阅读题目，我也会在确定答案的情况下，跟他们进行分析。总之，我会配合各项工作，尽到我的职责，并及时地搬发本子，和老师报告上交作业的情况。

For they are closely related to mathmatics which I learned nothing about before. However wuth the belief that this is the great chance for me to experience new ideas and challenge myself,I persisted. I asked for help from every channel and reorgonized my life. Gradually I could understand some parts and even found maths interesting.Moreover, I learned to act instead of complaining. In retrospect,the choice left no trace in my mind but the happiness and bitterness of the past four months becomes an unforgetable experience in my life.

Peace and prosperity has become a common goal that we are striving for all over the world. Underlying this mighty trend of globalization is the echo of E. M. Forsters words, "Only connect!" With the IT revolution taking place, traditional boundaries of human society fall away. Our culture, politics, society and commerce are being sloshed into a large melting pot of humanity. In this interlinked world, there are no outsiders, for a disturbance in one place is likely to impact other parts of the globe. We have begun to realize that a world divided cannot endure.
China is now actively integrating into the world. Our recent entry to the WTO is a good example. For decades, we have taken pride in being self-reliant, but now we realize the importance of participating in and contributing to a broader economic order. From the precarious role in the world arena to our present WTO membership, we have come a long way. But what does the way ahead look like? In some parts of the world people are demonstrating against globalization. Are they justified then, in criticizing the globalizing world? Instead of narrowing the gap between the rich and the poor, they say, globalization enables developed nations to swallow the developing nations wealth in debts and interest. We are reminded by Karl Marx that capital goes beyond national borders and eludes control from any other entity. This has become a reality. Multinational corporations are seeking the lowest cost, the largest market, and the most favorable policy. They are often powerful lobbyists in government decision-making, ruthless expansionists in the global market place and a devastating presence to local businesses. For China, still more challenges exist.
How are we going to ensure a smooth transition from the planned economy to a market-based one? How to construct a legal system that is sound enough and broad enough to respond to the needs of a dynamic society? How to maintain our cultural identity in an increasingly homogeneous world? And how to define greatness in our rise as a peace-loving nation? Globalization entails questions that concern us all.Like many young people my age in China, I want to see my country get prosperous and enjoying respect in the international community. But it seems to me that mere patriotism is not just enough. It is vitally important that we young people do more serious thinking and broaden our mind to bigger issues. And, there might never be easy answers to those issues such as globalization, but to take them on and give them honest thinking is the first step to be prepared for both opportunities and challenges coming our way.
